Quick Reply Box (with Tutorial)
Adding a quick reply box can speed up your process whilst visiting boards. You may come across some on your travels and used them yourself.
If you would like one on your board then this the process on how to do it.
Before I'll start you will need the following.
1. Notepad (most pc's have this program)
2. A server to upload and store your notepad text file.
Open Notepad and enter the following into it....
body {
font-size:13px; color: black;
background-color: #7D7D7D;}
textarea {height: 90px; color: black;}
.ak_msgform_postreply_submit_button {
background-color: #171717;
border: 1px solid #000000;
color: white;}
You need then to save this as a CSS file. Name your file something like.... quickreply.css
Once saved you will then need to upload it to a server where it can be stored.
Once it's stored you'll need to get the URL link where the file is stored on the server. This could look like this...
http://www.myserver.com/files/quickreply.css
When you've successfully got the link you then need to paste it into a slot in your CLS.
Control Panel
Manage
Customize Language Set (CLS)
Scroll down untill you get to the script which says... post_list_add_a_reply
In this window you will need to enter all the text which is below.
Add a reply</a><br><br><border=2px><Iframe id="QR"
src="http://www.web-i18n.net/Rb/QR?css=http://www.myserver.com/files/quickreply.css">
<a></iframe></border></a><br /><br /><br />
Once done, scroll down and Click on the Submit custom set tab.
If you want to customize your own box with a different color or text etc, I've made a picture with the code inserted to give you a guide on what part of the CSS coding does what.
