How to make a Snazzy Signature
If you send your emails using rich HTML formatting in Outlook Express, the signature does not have to pale in plain letters beside the rest of your message.
Using HTML in your signature is not as straight forward as setting up a plain text signature, however. It is not even as easy as using HTML formatting in the rest of your message.
This is because HTML signatures in Outlook Express are outsourced and offshored to external files. I've created a work-around, here's how to do it. All you need is some basic HTML knowledge, though you'll do fine even without that.
1. Create the signature's HTML code in your favorite text editor. (Notepad will be fine)
2. Make sure you use only the code you would also use inside the <body> of an HTML document.
3. Save it to an .html file in your My Documents folder.
4. Select Tools / Options... from the menu in Outlook Express.
5. Go to the Signatures tab.
6. Highlight the desired signature.
7. Make sure File is selected under Edit Signature.
8. Use the Browse... button to select the signature HTML file you have just created.
9. Click OK

Re: How to make a Snazzy Signature
Hi Debbie,
Here is what to do....
Open 'Notepad'
Here is what to type into that window.... Or just copy and paste it.
<html>
<body>
<img src="http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g177/wiz-bits/DebbieFloweryName.gif">
</body>
</html>
Once you've done this, go to 'File' and select 'Save As..'
type in....
Debbie.html
Save to your 'My Documents' folder.
Open Outlook Express and follow steps 4 & 5 in my guide above.
In the signatures section, click 'New'
then, in the 'Edit Signature' section, select 'File' and click 'Browse'.
Head to your 'My Documents' folder where you saved your notepad file to.
When you reach the 'My Documents' folder you may see in the window below 'Files of type' saying 'Text Files' (*txt).
What you need to do is select from that drop-down menu is..... HTML Files (*.htm;*.html).
This then will show your notepad file you save as a html file. Select your file 'Debbie' then click 'Open'. Click 'Apply'.
Go back to your Outlook Express email. Type in your email contact, subject line note, click on the main window to get the cursor there.
In the Outlook Express file menu, select 'Insert' then choose 'Signature'
This then should display your picture signature. Move the cursor up next to the picture then press enter to bring down the picture a little, then return the cursor to the top to start typing your email message.
If you are still not sure, I can do some step-by-step screen shots for you.
Feel free to use my image url where I've saved your sig picture to.
Wiz
PS.. So sorry for the extremely long delay in replying
