I've run out of room !!
I've had quite a few PM's from members saying that when they want to add pictures or link pictures in their signature area, they run out of room.
The reason this is that Runboard allows only 240 Characters in the signature window. Now we all know that image hosts such as 'Photobucket' and ImageShack give you URL's for your pictures etc, but they can be quite long too.
Here is a great work around for to get those siggie pic link etc in that window.

By entering in a URL in the text field, Tiny will create a tiny URL that will not break in email postings / links and never expires ! 
I'll show you a good example....
Using PC World website, I browsed for Desktop PC's link, then clicked the Desktop PC icon to get where I wanted to be.
Now, if I saw a really good PC that was cheaper than the shop down the road and wanted to tell a friend so they could view it, this would be the link for that page (this is the actual link)

Very cool...
When I was addiding affiliate sites to my dropdown menu on my board I noticed someone used tinyurl and was unsure if I could add them with the other so I didn't because it wasn't the same format as the other ones. Now I know that it can be done. If I could only remember who it was I would pop them in, I know I will stumble on it again though and when I do I will add them.

Adding affiliates URL's to the drop-down menu is OK lost, best use the proper names in case some admins or mods get a bit confused if they are editing some stuff....'hint...hint' 
Best use the compressor URL for you personal preferences as stated above
Now...back to the the ole :desk

ok so if someone had a tinyurl for their board I would do better to ask the owner for the non commpressed version prior to placing the link in my dropdown?

I haven't found that it affects the drop down menus but if definitely affects your signature if you have more than one board in your signature.
