So far MPC hasn't done anything to impress me; VLC does much other players don't (mp4 among others), but with matroska some elements mess it. Gom Player did tiny bit better, but still crashes with matroska. Guess I'll once more wipe out as many codecs as I can and try some pack.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kaunisto)Mon, 15 Mar 2010 08:38:00 +0000 Re: Matroska .mkvhttps://bwizardsworkshop.runboard.com/p7233,from=rss#post7233https://bwizardsworkshop.runboard.com/p7233,from=rss#post7233VLC Player or Windows Media Player Classic should be able to handle .mkv files. Media Player Classic can be downloaded from Here VLC Player can be downloaded from Here If both can load and play but is sluggish then its you'll need to upgrade your hardware, if not then I got 12 Gauge you can use so you can put the old dinosaur out of his misery nondisclosed_email@example.com (The Wizard3)Fri, 12 Mar 2010 21:39:41 +0000 Matroska .mkvhttps://bwizardsworkshop.runboard.com/p7231,from=rss#post7231https://bwizardsworkshop.runboard.com/p7231,from=rss#post7231Like so many times along years, I'm fighting with video formats. Having moved back and forth with dozen codecs and players, I'm still to find anything that'd fully understand .mkv matroska files. Any fool proof ideas for this? (for 98SE...) Or does matroska for some reason require much more hardware power than other standards, is it my old card running out of breath? I doubt that's the case, problems are too varying, beyond just being slow and pixelation.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Kaunisto)Fri, 12 Mar 2010 09:10:44 +0000
