think "The Addams Family" without the "ooky, spooky" part...a very big, Victorian style house

Absolutely made me spew my water! emoticon

Oops...I missed Mariel's. Yeah, hardly a secret there either! emoticon

As for the house...glad you got a giggle out of it, but I was telling the truth. And better yet, it was built on the site of public executions for the town in the early 1800's! I'm surprised we never had any ghost encounters, but we didn't...Bellia would've loved it though. emoticon

Old houses do have so much character but then again I would rather not be scared out of my life every time something spooky happens!

Re: Getting To Know You in 25 ways

My parents were ...

Military Man (retired in '60) and my Mom was a 'Blue Lady' military version of a candy stripper/nurses aide. After 60. My Dad became the Manager of a Hardware Store and Mom worked in Sales (mostly at Mom and Pop type grocery stores)

The house/flat I grew up in ...before 1960 we lived in military housing...but after Dad retired we lived in Jacksonville, Florida on a 5 3/4 acre farm. (actually when we first moved there the community was not considered part of the city..it got incorporated into the city in the late 60's. The house itself was a beautiful 2 story stucco house...and the first winter we all had to sleep in the living room as there was a server ice storm that knocked out the power for two whole weeks....our folks made the incident feel like an adventure...we roasted marshmellows in the fireplace etc...

When I was a child I wanted to be ...

A Vetenarian

If I could change one thing about myself ...

health (basically my heart since its my biggest problem)

You wouldn't know it but I'm very good at ...

Fixing things (mechanical and around the house)

You wouldn't know it but I'm no good at ...

doing stuff with the computer...(Wiz you can vouch for this since I'm always asking advice--heehee)

At night I dream of ...

Don't want to go there (can't print what I dream about ...at least not here)

What I see when I look in the mirror ...

An Over weight woman that recently has begun to resemble my mom and older sister (something I never thought possible as they are both beautiful and I thought I was adopted because I didn't resemble any one in the family growing up)

My favourite item of clothing ...

Sweat pants and T-shirt

I wish I'd never worn ...

a Micro-Mini skirt (blood red) as my third wedding dress.....it was freezing out there and the car broke down and we had to walk back to town.

It's not fashionable but I like ...

those colorful moomoos (house dresses)

I drive/ride ...

a little of both...a 1984 Chevy Van

My house is ...

the one I'm moving out of in 30 days is an 8-plex apartment...rooms are small and the neighbors are noisy and inconsiderate

The one I'm moving into shortly is a duplex and has almost double the space and no neighbors upstairs (just Marvin who lives next door-heehee)

My favourite work of art ...

Don't know the name of the piece but it's not Neptune's horses(although that one is also one of my favorites)...but it has a herd of White horse coming out of a white surf at night...It's not a black velvet type painting but it could have been

My favourite building ...

A Barn full of horses (that belong to me---I wish)

A book that changed me ...

Jonathan Livingston Seagul

Movie heaven ...

Anything with horses, any Sci-Fi and any Fantasy and throw in a ton of Horror..yep that does it for me...

The last album I bought ...

Michael Montgomery's Hits

My secret crush ...

I had a mad crush on Zorro (except at that age I didn't fully understand that Zorro was Guy Williams)

I think more currently I'd have to say Steven Seagal

My greatest regret ...

That I didn't stop my youngest daughter from marrying that S.. of a B.... now I've got to wait for her to wake up and realize what he's done and that she's not to blame...

My real-life villain ...

Okay I've got 2...my youngest daughter's father and her husband.

The person who really makes me laugh ...

my husband

The last time I cried ...

last night when it finally hit me that Yoda (my cat was gone)

My five year plan ...

Make it through the next 5 years is a major plan in itself...my plans are a little more shorter like what I'm doing tomorrow or next week...(I have a hard enough time remembering appts and you want a 5 year plan---not going to happen--heehee)

My life in six words ...

One (or two) days at a time...okay that's 7...so shoot me-heehee
