Help WIZ....

Yesterday I was prompted to upgrade my AVG..9.0..I did, and seemed to have no problem.
I have also been getting notified by many web pages to upgrade my Flash...so I did..
Now today...EVERY SINGLE FIREFOX window I open PEGS my CPU.
I figured it was one of my updates.
So I uninstalled my new FLASH and upgraded my Firefox to 3.5.5
But it's is still HITTING my CPU 100%.
I just ran an AVG full system virus scan last night... emoticon

PS...and my newly updated PAID version of AVG installed a tool bar:

Which I do not like...I can not get rid of it.....I use GOOGLE search.

Re: Help WIZ....

I upgraded to the latest Firefox Queeny not long ago and it caused a few problems with me too.

Stuff didn't load, my roboform program I use with IE and FF couldn't be used, the right-click menu wouldn't appear.

I rolled back to a previous version 3.0.14 and haven't had any problems yet. So maybe if you rolled back a few versions it may correct the problems your having now with the Flash Player.

When AVG performs a scan it will make things go a bit slower loading and working, I always select not to start a scan at a certain time or date. I do my scans every other week.

As for the Toolbar you don't like, you can always disable it by going to the File Menu and select View then Toolbars and if AVG has a tick beside it, then select it again to un-check it. It should then disappear from view.

Have a try at the above and get back to me emoticon

THANK YOU WIZ! Got rid of the toolbar, rolled back to the older version of Firefox and now I while looking at your site my CPU is running between 18 and 22% pretty normal for me...
THANK YOU AGAIN! emoticon
(oh and I manually start my AVG scans every Thursday afternoon right after I sign off for the day and let it run then.. emoticon )

Re: Help WIZ....

Thought that might be the primary problem Queeny, nice to see it worked without any problems
