Change Font & Colour in Reply Window

Depending on how you have your board setup you may wish to change the fonts and colours in certain areas

Image

When you press either 'Reply' or 'Add New Topic', this window (above pic) will appear

To change the font and the colours in this section you need a bit of CSS editing

1. Control Panel
2. Manage
3. Edit layout / colors of your board
4. Manage Custom Style Sheet (CSS)

Copy and Paste the following into it.....

.ak_msgform_message_right_td textarea{font: 16px name of font goes here; color: #0000CD}

Using Fonts
There are many default fonts available in your computer to use, if you use a custom font you downloaded and use it, it may not appear as Runboard users may not have that particular font installed on their computer, if they don't, runboard will use the default font instead.

Use something that everyone can see like.....

ariel
verdana
tahoma (The font you are seeing now)
comic sans ms
Time New Roman

replace where I've typed the CSS Script 'name of font goes here' and replace it with the font name

Font Size
If you want your text to show with squinting your eyes then size 16 will be sufficient, the lower the number the smaller the font size, vice-versa

Font Colour
You can add any colour of your choice here, just change the HEX code to the colour of your choice

Blue = #0000FF
Red = #FF0000
Black = #000000
Grey = #BEBEBE
Yellow = #FFFF00

If you require a different shade or any other colour, then ask in my Comments Section please and I'll give you the HEX code for it

Re: Change Font & Colour in Reply Window

all seems to be ok with the script erika, try using lower case when you insert the font name

instead of Verdana

use

verdana

In board management, I have CSS trick 1 and 2 'un-ticked' but have CSS extra ticked, it may make a difference on your board if any of the css tricks boxes are ticked

Re: Change Font & Colour in Reply Window

I've added a new tutorial on how to this but in the meantime here is the CSS on how to insert an image to the reply window

.qcode_bar_but {background-image: url(Add your image URL here);}
